In the rails that keep rain off your door(basically gutters above your doors) I was wondering what sealer stuff is used in their. Is it basically caulking, or is it something less sticky and resistant to cracking? If it isn't caulking then I was wondering if anyone could point me to where I would get this stuff.

At your local automotive paint supplier, ask for a tube of joint filler.
It goes on like caulk, but stays flexible.

If doing a resto the OEM use was body filler, many shops use that. joint filler is better, but especially in an area with some temperature extremes.
Make sure you get a type that can be primed and painted, there are a couple of brands that are great for the hidden areas, but won't retain any coatings....
