 Post subject: What type of paint??

....do you guys reccomend for painting a manifold set?? Does any certain brand match the Chrysler red accurately? Also, what paint (if any) looks decent and lasts well on the exhaust manifold?

The only spray/brush on paint that works decently well on exhaust is something like por-15's high temperature coatings (eastwood makes something similar?) and usually those need baking. Some people here have had success with painting them then letting them "bake" on the car by letting the car get warm, then shutting car off after it starts to smell and letting them cool. Repeat the process untill it doesn' smell.

Another choice is ceramic coating such as jet-hot. You might find a place locally to do it if you don't want to mail it in. I know there is a place in Belmont, CA that does ceramic coating, I just had my headers done there.

PlastiKote makes a pretty good manifold paint. I used it to good effect on my Supersix mani. You can get it at autoparts stores.
