We have an inliner series at Woodburn Dragstrip out here in Oregon.

I'm going to start working with folks in the Seattle area, and Gordon, owner of Bremerton Drag Strip to see if we can get an inliner going up there. We may also have a Slant Six points race at Bremerton if enough show interest.

I've seen a marked decrease in the inliner group at Redding and Medford. Most of the field is comprised of slant six cars.

One of the reasons I objected to two day races out here was we historically raced slant only on Saturday, then Inliner on Sunday. It seems to have worked out at Woodburn, running Slant Six in the morning, and Inliner in the afternoon on Sunday. We're not sure we're going to keep that format. Some of the racers that could run both chose not to run the slant six, saving their cars for the inliner.

Hopefully you can hook up with some of the guys in your area and get an inliner series going at a local track. We are tied to the Nostalgia series out here. It fits!

CJ

Scott, good to hear from another inliner. Would you consider coming to Clay City, Kentucky next October? I am new to all this but Clay City is a great time. It may be the closest to you and is a Mopar vs the world format for some of the racing.

We would like to get a Slant race at Lyons close to Bedford, IN one of these days.

You will find (even if yer a Ford guy) the slant community is full of great folks. Hell, Fopar even runs an old Ford - slant powered of course! Maybe we could get some slant guys to attend a nostalgia/inliner event.

Good to talk to ya and I hope others chime in and welcome you!

Yeah I told SIXGUN he needed to check it out over here, these Slant 6 guys really do a lot of racing over here. They provide so many more racing opportunities here than Inliners does, especially for the east coast guys, that those 2000-2500 mile one way races just aren't practical. How's your car coming along Rich.

I like the interest from other inliners as well.

But how would that work? Would the non slant 6 guy just run mod or sportsman etc? Sometimes the Slant races are in conjunction with mopar only shows..

Also the Slant 6 racing rules state that the Block must be of Chrysler G / RG Design.

Correct me if I am wrong here,

But some of these thoughs just popped into my head.

Welcome SIXGUN.

Mason Dixon could be somewhat close for you as well. *(about 3 hours se of Pittsburgh PA)

I was going to attempt to come up to Thompson If the Hurricane rains and destruction let up.

Greg

Greg, I think its just the idea of wanting to participate with other guys of like interests(Inline oriented), and not necessarily a competition type of gathering. I am seeing that inline enthusiasts of all types just like being around other inline guys/gals, no matter what brand they are.

Hey Scott (SIX GUN),

Welcome to the Forum! :D

It would be great to have you hang out and race with us!

Our points series is just for the Slant 6, but it would be fun to race together at test & tune or in one of the other classes.

Clay City is Mopar versus the World on Saturday and Mopar only on Sunday. We'd still let'cha hang out and bench race with us on Sunday though.

SIXGUN,

What is your Home track? It appears that you are pretty close to Norwalk and Dragway 42.

I think I will try to make it to thompson Next Saturday if they are open for Test N Tune.

I am not sure if norwalk, Quaker city or Dragway 42 are still running and No one may be running after the Hurricane Sandy :-(

I will have RUSTER It's My dedicated Race Car. If I can make it up I will shoot you a PM..

Greg

THANKS for welcoming me!!!

I see Rich & Scott are here (OFF BRANDERS) I just want to race with more inliners and mybe get some ideas...

I remember going to Milan Michigan and seeing a bunch of slant 6 cars there, like the COX"S BRO"S and a silver Arrow and others, don't remember what year ( '02-'03 )...

I mostly race at Dragway 42 & Norwalk (Summit Motorsports Park), But I've raced at almost all the dragstrips in OHIO...

I made the Phoenix(Speedworld)AZ race a few years ago.Rich and his gang made it one hell of a event. The combo Inliners and Flatheads made it different and way fun. We pitted next to two brothers with a Batam roadster with a mostly stock flatty. It was period correct and looked like they raced it back in the 50's&60's.They put it together with all used parts and had a total of $1700 bucks in it. All the people there made it a fantastic weekend. There was everything from doorslammers to rails.
I wish you all the luck and hope to meet up and come out to play.
