I've been reading online and trying to find specific information on the rules for this class. I was wondering any of you fellas done some stock street class racing from what I can tell its the low buck way to start into circle track racing? I'm basically trying to see what my options are for getting into some racing without needing but loads of cash and sponsors
I read somewhere that different rules apply for cars that originally came with 4,6, or 8 cylinder engines as far as weight and what you can do to them?

The rules may even be track specific.

The ones that I have seen are late model FWD 4 cylinder econo boxes. The modifications appear to be to strip the interior, install a full roll cage. No modifications to the engine, transmission or brakes and they run on street rubber.

Yes, rules will be track.or area specific.

One thing you really need to know, there is no such thing as cheap dirt racing.

Dirt racing can be alot of fun, but be ready to do a lot of work.

Make sure you have someone that can straighten the frame when it gets bent.
Not IF, but WHEN
If you never wreck, your not trying hard enough, so why bother doing it. Also remember a drag car engine gets about the same running time in a whole season, that a circle track engine gets in one night. But, yes it is a ball.

One other thing to remember, Street Stock has the most inexperienced drivers in cars with the least amount of safety equipment.
