Any sages out there with experience in mounting lexan side windows in cars without the upper window frame? (like a Duster  )

I'm looking for a light, but sturdy way to keep the lexan stable. Something that looks decent too.

Small tube frame that mounts to the top of the door and bolts the lexan to it. The challenger probably has this in it....

Here is RJ's window kit. You have to bend and weld it up (or have someone local do it.)

Thanks Tom. :D

The top of the doors have been cut out, so there isn't a good way to use a kit like that.

Someone mentioned using brake line bent to the right shape, but that doesn't seem sturdy enough. Especially since the window has a slight bend to it.

I may re-use the flat steel that was in there before for now.

Does not matter if the top of the door is cut out or not...attach it inside the shell somewhere(only needs two) and bend to match the contour of the door. Easiest, lightest and sturdest way to do it.

How about using some 1/2" electrical conduit bent at the correct angle, and cut long enough to use a set of pipe clamps to screw it or pop rivet it to the door/frame/skin?

I just used the flat metal brackets that Norm had used originally. I'll re-do them later.

They're in there for now and ready(ish) for the races in a couple weeks.

Thanks for the replies guys! :D
