How about double points for any racer that travels out of his home division? Since Mo-Kan is in the west division we need an incentive for the eastern racers to go west.
Last year the long distance winner traveled 23 miles one way for the cash.

Yeah, you poor Mo-Kan guys just ain't got a chance out there.

You're in the Western Division, but them uppity Killer Bees won't even acknowledge you!

Actually, I would like to go, but did a mapquest, for the 1st race. It is even further then Mason-Dixon, for me, at about 1100 miles each way. Just can't afford it.

I was planning on going to Mo kan last year 1000 miles one way, but then It rained alot.

I had time off work and everything planned... This year is much different... Car is in shambles... No Time off in the spring.. ya.. ya... ya.

Charrlie Traveles alot to go to any of the slant races he goes to.

I'm OK with extra points for out of division, even though it doesn't do me any good.

Every east coast slant six race, for me is between 550 miles (farmington) and 870 miles (Mason-Dixon), one way.

The reason we don't have a Midwest division is the same reason there are not too many races here. No Slant cars in the Midwest to support it.

We did discuss this at the banquet but there was no support for double points for any one race. We all applaud the effort to get people out to the races but in this specific case Mokan is 1000 miles closer to the East Coast than the west. We would have a substantial travel advantage and then get a substantial points bonus as well. We did not feel this would be fair to all the parties involved, East & West.
