The April '04 edition of 'Mopar Collectors Guide' has a feature on the Drakes Simca! Randy Holden did an awesome job with the text. It's nice that 'MCG' supports the 'Slant Six Racing Series' and now features one of the slant6 race cars. Congrats to the Drakes, that's a fine car that looks even better in person.
On a side note, pg 56 has what looks like Gordie Stevens former slant6 race car for sale, now with SB V8 power. :(

Thanks for the heads-up Cecil, and congrats to the Drakes. :D :D :D

I just got my MCG yesterday and sought out the Simca first thing...man what a sweet ride! I love those old gassers and it's great to see that this one in particular has lived a long and productive life. It also gives me some inspiration, as I've had thoughts lately of a '33 Willys Model 77 with a slant6 and a 5 speed...anybody got a few buckets of cash laying around they don't need?

BTW that was Gordie Stevens car in MCG on pg. 56. However, the ad copy for the car is on page 91 underneath a light colored Dart with the left front tire getting a bit of daylight under it at Norwalk. KInda thought it was the wrong ad under Gorie's car, as the phone # was for North Ridgeville, OH, and Gordie's an Eastern PA guy.
