the problem with the feed back carb is that it is not just off or on power(12volts). it is pusled to control rich or lean.
so once you remove the computer it won't get a valid signal. it was inconjunction with the spark control system you are removing.
some one else may have a valid work around.
i never pursued it far enough to find one. but then again i have a wonderful guru with a yard full of vintage mopar parts.
so i just went and got a buildable core and the rest of what i needed to conver back out of lean burn

Just because it was lean burn doesn't mean that it's a feedback carb. Most I see here in the flatlands (Midwest) with lean burn didn't have a feedback carb.

Good day, so the screen shot of the carberator that i posted the other day is what i have on now, and I am switching my ignition system to an HEI system with the GM module. Im in the process and I have already eliminated all the wires that go to the two harness for the spark control lean burn computer that sticks out on my factory intake. So the picture that I have posted here to my understanding from talking to a friend about this is to do with all my vacuum system to my carb and so on, he didnt quite know what it all was or if I could delete it all of not.

So if someone on here could tell me about this system and with the carberator that im using if I can delete it or anything I should know about it thanks. And would anyone have a diagram of the carberator that im using now with all names for the different inputs an outputs on the carberator, i cant find one anywhere an im sure there has to be one somewhere for it. Thanks Dan.

Okay I think k i know what you mean with the feedback carb but I already talked to a carb tech guy from autoline in Winnipeg and we're they are rebuilt and he had done a hei conversion too before and he said that valve on the carb didnt mean anything in today's world so it didnt matter if I did that or not so ya no need to worry about that, but im worried about my vacuum stuff and really hope it'll work

If you're talking about the pic of the carb a page ago in the sales ad the only wire I see is for a vent valve for the fuel bowl not a feedback solenoid. I believe those were mounted low on that series of carb. A bigger concern is that lean burn carbs didn't use vacuum advance on the distributor so they eliminated the fitting for that on the carb. Id be looking for a carb off of a slightly older model that did have plain electronic ignition and vacuum advance and id be taking that black oversized hockey puck with the vacuum lines off and throwing it in the trash along with a block off plate for the egr. You don't have to go very far older than your truck, id look for a carb off of a 79-80 /6 application especially if you're just gonna buy a reman unit Stick your current carb in the box, "don't say anything" and send that one back as a core.

I punched in the # of the carb he has and it looks like it has 3 or 4 small vacuum ports on it. Hopefully one of them is above the throttle plate and he could use it for his vacuum advance. :D

Hey guys thanks a lot for all your help and suggestions that you guys have given, I hadn't looked at these messages till today but I already started the truck up yesterday and had to tweak it a bit and then she ran good.

And yes this carb should work, I will plug all the vacuum imports that im not using and yes I have a vacuum right about by my trottel so that should work for my vacuum on my distributor advance. I ran it without the vacuum on it yet and it ran good just no power so tmrw ill put the hose on an see, but ya seems like there a few more tweaks i need to do yet but other then that Im happy that its running again and that I can drive it after and weeks and weeks of working with figuring out what the problem or what to do with it.

I couldn't have done it with out these forums.

And one benifit of this all is before when this problem wasn't here yet then when I had it idling then punch the gas the truck would always stall on me, but now when I punch it it doesnt not stall on me so im really happy with that.
