I am restoring my car piece by piece and I was wondering if I could install and bleed the front brakes without having to have the rears hooked up, you know, just leave the rear reservoir empty. Would I just plug the unused M/C outlet? Thanks.

Car Model:
It is possible to bench bleed the master cylinder, then plug the rear port and bleed the front.

If your car has a brake system emergancy switch / light I would not advise doing this because it will trip the switch. ( system pressure imbalance) These switches are hard to get recentered once they are activated / moved.

Look for a electrical wire going to the metering block. What year is the car?
