I have an 85 dogde ram with a 225. I just found another truck like mine except its an 80, and it has a manual transmission. The only thing different I can tell about the engine from mine is it has a different valve cover. Will this engine bolt up to my automatic tranmission. Is this engine even worth getting and trying to rebuild.

Yes and Yes...
The 80 SL6 has a cast crank but that is not a big problem.
