Hey there,
Again, I'am new to Mopars. But am having a great time modifying my "wifes" 66. To date, I have installed disc brakes off a 75 duster, put 14" wheels all around, and installed an aluminum radiator.
My suspension question is this: I lowered the front of the car by screwing out the bolt for the torsion bar adjustment. It currently has about 4" of travel before it hits the snubber. Can I install thicker torsionbars to increase regidity, and still lower the car?? I'm assuming so. Because right now a big bump makes it bottom against the rubber snubber. And I like the lower stance. Thanks again.
Also, Can I install a booster on my brakes without any mods. And if so, what donor car can I get one off of. Maybe a 75 duster, like my disc brakes??

You can get bigger T-bars from many sources (Koller Dodge, Mancini Racing, Summit...). If you are sticking with the Slant and want better handling but not too stiff a ride, I would suggest the 0.870" or 0.890" bars.

I don't think you really need a PB booster if the brakes are set up right. Make sure to get an adjustable proportioning valve (Summit) and put it in the rear line so you can dial down the rear brake bias. This will give better braking and less pedal effort. Also, check out www.arengineering.com for an adapter to run the modern aluminum master cyl (parts store) from a mid-80s Diplomat or 5th Ave (15/16" cyl diam). This will look better, scrub weight, and should have less pedal effort than your old cylinder.

Cheers,

Lou
