Would changing to a 273 style center link give enough clearance to run a later model A body slant 6 oil pan in a '63 Dart?

I think the bigger problem is the front corner hits the K frame. The center link helps the rear of the pan for sure. I cut and rewelded my K Frame and now I can run most any pan I want.

You know I saw that modified K-frame you did with the tubing. I had forgotten about that. That will probably be my best solution. I have ONE early pan but I'd like to have other options or find another early pan.

I think that a dropped drag link will allow you to use a pan from a full size early car in an early A Body. Maybe Doug knows the details.

Using the v8 center link allows you to use a Fbody oil pan. But you need to trim the front left corner to clear the k-member. I cut it back a 1/2" and weld a plate over the hole. Other pans may reguire a similar notification.

Here is about where I cut and boxed mine. that is an F body pan.
