We should be starting on the Turismo Slant 6 swap/RWD conversion in about 3 weeks and I have a couple questions.

What is the preferred way of mounting the engine/trans?

I don't believe there are any motor or tranny plates readily available for the Slant 6. I've seen a couple, but the owners fabbed there own.

Should I make both mounts solid or is some isolation of some sort needed to prevent some vibration?

The plan is just to weld in 2 cross braces and mount them both solid at this point.

As usual, all ideas and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks,

Rob

Rob my duster is mounted with a motor plate but is rubber mounted on the tranny tail. But the new car i am looking at is hard mounted on both ends. The person i am butying this from raced the king of street for years and said he has always hard mounted motor and tranny. my 2 cents worth

So Big Mama said you could have that Challenger? That's great!

Do you plan on having that beast ready for this season?

What are your plans for the Duster?

Did you make your motor plate yourself?

I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks!

Rob
