This will be at my home track. I'll be there if I have to WALK the 25 miles to the track!

This gives me the motivation I need to get my Duster built this spring. The junkyard I keep it at just bought a nice 220 volt MIG to do metal work with, and I'm friends with the owner and mechanic.

Aside from the metal work, the single biggest thing I need to do on the car is buy a good clutch, then drop my /6 and 4 speed into it.

If anyone wants to go into the track and look around but save some cash on the entry fee, you can walk through the fields down the right (west) side of the track for about 1/3 mile and come in through the woods for free! :D

The hotel in Greensburg is a good 25 miles from the track on Route 22 towards Pittsburgh.

Great to see that there is some support for this race.
We know there are a bunch of SL6 people in that area of the country so we need to get the word out and try our best to get a decent car count for this new race.
I feel that this event can become a good one for SL6 racing and it is really up to the east coast members to make the effort to support it. It is a lot of fun just to get out and "take-in" a Chrysler Classic event.

Only problem with it being a Chrysler Classic event is that I'm going to have to pay $65 (or whatever) to race at the track where I go to Test and Tunes for $15 a night!

If this event ends up having a lot of cars, I don't know where they're going to put them. The racers will use all available pit and paved areas. You'll be parking in the grass on the hillside.

A.K.A. "Keystone" to us locals. It used to be called Keystone Raceway Park until the new owners bought it 2 years ago and rebuilt everything. It's a pretty good track now, and the owners make the effort to do things right.

Tim, what kind of payout do they have on that $15 Test&Tune nite?

My son and I will be there also. We are planning to come out on friday afternoon/evening. Are we able to camp out at the track? Or not? Look forward to meeting some of you.

Zero payout on Test & Tune nights.

I don't know if they will allow people to camp out there at night. For an event this big, maybe. But I wouldn't count on it. Go to their website and call them sometime to ask.

The only problem with the Pittsburgh race is that it is the weekend after Clay City. (July 17 & 18th) Hopefully there will be enough interest the fill the field at both events.
