OK, I will give this a shot....
The actual parts you use will have some effect on these numbers so as they say, " Your results (clearances) may vary"
See Below:
Valve to piston clearance @ .08

Piston to cylinder clearance : Cast pistons @ .0015, Forged @.0035 (street)

wristpin to piston clearance @.001

rod to wristpin clearance = Press Fit

rod to crankshaft clearance @ .001 to .0015

crank to mains w/ bearing clearance @ .002 to .003

piston TDC to deck clearance = Where ever it ends-up, (unless it's a quanch set-up) stock is about -.140 to -.165

Just to add a bit more...

The valve-piston clearance on a stock motor is something like 0.4", but gets less as you put in bigger cams, mill the head, or go to a shorter deck height (pistons higher up or deck mill).

I measured this clearance on my Slant with stock bottom end, but 0.090" milled head and MP 0.490" cam and still got over 0.250" clearance.

The 0.080" clearance that Doug gave is a minimum clearance, and you should measure yours (play-dough on top of piston and turn motor over slowly with all assembled).

Lou
